No, Jets fans, this was not a bad dream. It’s reality.

With Aaron Rodgers expected to be out a significant amount of time with a left Achilles injury, Gang Green’s quarterback position is now in flux.

Zach Wilson is the guy for now, but that may not last. The Post takes a look at some other options if the Jets opt to look outside the organization for help.

Matthew Stafford

The Jets tried to trade for him in the offseason prior to signing Rodgers. The Rams are rebuilding, Stafford is 35 and owed big money for the next two years.

Joe Flacco

A free agent, the 38-year-old Flacco spent the last three years with the Jets, appearing in 12 games. He probably profiles as a backup more than a starter at this stage of his career, however.

Nick Foles

Wouldn’t cost anything since he isn’t currently on a team, and does have a Super Bowl to his credit, albeit back in 2018. He has played for four teams since then, a sign of his decline.

Jameis Winston

The former No. 1 overall pick hasn’t been a full-time starter since 2019 when he threw 30 interceptions. Currently the backup to Derek Carr with the Saints, so could be attainable for the right price.

Carson Wentz

Has gone from The Guy with the Eagles to out of the league quickly. Played in eight games for Washington last season, throwing 11 touchdowns and nine interceptions. Still is only 30 years old.

Matt Ryan

Though not officially retired after struggling last year with the Colts, he is now working as an analyst for CBS Sports. Doesn’t hurt to call.

What’s next for Jets after Aaron Rodgers’ season-ending injury

The Jets got the news they were expecting but dreading.

An MRI exam confirmed quarterback Aaron Rodgers has a torn left Achilles tendon that will require season-ending surgery, a source confirmed.

Now, the Jets are back to where they were a year ago, with Zach Wilson back as the starting quarterback of the New York Jets.

Here’s what’s next for the star-crossed franchise.

Philip Rivers

Though the 41-year-old Rivers called it a career in January 2021 after 17 seasons, the 49ers were prepared to call him out of retirement as part of their emergency quarterback plan if they reached the Super Bowl following an injury-plagued NFC title game earlier this year.

Tom Brady

Could a ready-made roster draw the 46-year-old Brady out of retirement? And does he have anything left?
